Introduction :
Pollination is the process in which the pollen grains falls over the stigma for the fertilization process. This pollination is carried out by insects, wind, rainfall, birds, etc. After the pollen grains fall on the stigma the pollen tube starts to form. Due to the chemotaxic response, the pollen grains move towards the ovule. Along with the pollination process the insects, wind, rainfall, birds, etc. also involve in the absorption of nectar for the production of honey.
Answer to Problem 1STP
Correct answer :
The correct answer is option (C) voilet.
Explanation of Solution
Explanation/justification for the correct answer :
Option (C) voilet. Violet is the brightest color that attracts the pollinator. The moth and bats are nocturnal pollinators get attracted towards the bright flower. So, the correct answer is option (C).
Explanation for incorrect answer :
Option (A) blue. Blue is also the bright color that attracts the pollinator, but is less bright than violet. So, this is an incorrect option.
Option (B) red. Redis also the bright color that attracts the pollinator, but is less bright than violet. So, this is an incorrect answer.
Option (D) white.White is not a bright color, hence do not attract the pollinator much towards itself. So, this is an incorrect answer.
