Introduction: In 1998, Ole Seehausen and Jacques Van Alphen performed a series of experiments for investigating the possible role of sexual selection in the population of fish. The fish possessed very complex behavior and the female fish choose their mates on the basis of the colour of male fish. In a population of fish, varied types of body colors were found which ranged from a very light shade of white to a dark shade of green.
