Introduction:
Induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) are a type of pluripotent stem cell, which have capability to generate directly from adult cells. In 2006, the experiment based on iPSC technology was conducted by Shinya Yamanaka's lab in Kyoto, Japan, by the introduction of four specific genes encoding transcription factors could convert adult cells into pluripotent stem cells.
