The effect of pregnancy to the mammary glands.
Introduction:
Placenta secretes progesterone and estrogen during pregnancy that further stimulates the mammary glands to milk production. Estrogens stimulate the branching and growth of ductile system and allow fat deposition. Progesterone causes to alveolar glands to be developed. Placental lactogen is also plays a role for the breast development and the placenta secretes milk production along with estrogen and progesterone.
