Introduction:
The feeling of hunger and satiety is controlled directly and indirectly by different hormones, which include leptin, ghrelin, cholecystokinin, and insulin. The satiety and hunger centers present in the hypothalamus release anorexigenic and orexigenic neurotransmitters, respectively. Leptin stimulates the satiety center, whereas ghrelin stimulates the hunger center.
