Introduction:
In the surface of the pelvic cavity, just below the peritoneum and behind the pubic symphysis lies a muscular sac called as the urinary bladder. The urinary bladder’s flattened superior surface is covered by a fibrous adventitia and parietal peritoneum. The muscular detrusor has three layers of smooth muscles. Bladder infections are more common in this site. In general, a urinary bladder stores 500 ml to 800 ml (maximum) of urine.
