In a plant there are certain types of tissues like the ground tissues, meristems, vascular tissues and the dermal tissues. Meristems or meristematic tissues are those tissues that have maximum power of growth and regeneration. They are small cells as they grow very rapidly. As they are small, so they have a dense cytoplasm.
