Glt proteins are called gliding transducer proteins. In the case of Myxococcus xanthus, two different types of surface-associated motility are observed. They are social motility and adventurous motility. Adventurous motility depends on Ag1 proteins whose mechanical work is converted to movement by Glt proteins.
