The site on which the lymphocyte typically encounter an antigen for the first time: primary lymphatic structure, secondary lymphatic structure, or site of infection.

Concept introduction:

The lymphocytes are present in lymphatic systems in the form of small leucocytes with a single round form of a nucleus. The formation and maturation of lymphocytes occur within the primary lymphatic structures which are thymus and bone marrow.
