Summary Introduction

To determine:

Whether cloning performed by transferring a nucleus from an early embryo into an enucleated egg cell demonstrates that genetic material is lost during the development.

Introduction:

Cloning was performed for the first time in plants in 1952, by Stewart et al. He performed this experiment on carrot by using cells from phloem tissues. In animals, the first successful cloning was done in 1997 at “Roslin Institute of Scotland” where they cloned a sheep by using genetic material from an adult cell.
