Summary Introduction

Introduction:

Trachea is also known as wind pipe and it has C-shaped cartilage rings to prevent it from collapsing during absence of air. It carries gases to lungs from larynx and branch of the trachea called bronchus enters directly into lungs and further divides into more branches to facilitate the process of gas exchange.
