To differentiate:
Between primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary structure of protein structure.
Concept introduction:
Proteins are composed of linear chains of amino acids, which are connected to each other through peptide bonds. The arrangement of amino acids causes attainment of the conformational three dimensional shapes based on the folding of the proteins inside the cell. Primary structure gets converted to secondary structure which forms tertiary structure and finally the quaternary structure of the protein inside the cell.
