Plants are very much protected by some or the other covering. Every part of the plant whether it is a leaf or whether it is a stem or any other part all the parts are occupied by covering layer. These barriers help in the protecting the organs in a number of ways like they help from the excess loss of water, they help in entering of germs or dust. Some layers even help from getting cuts and mechanical shocks.
