The best gift I got for my birthday last year was my very own Mini Me; not a living one, which would have been the best gift that anyone ever got for their birthday, but a bobblehead doll made to look like me. (In case you’re wondering, I don’t wear shorts that short to play golf.) The scale for many objects is given as a ratio of two numbers. Ratios can be written either as fractions, or using a colon. If a scale model is exactly half the size of the original, we could say the ratio of the smaller size to the larger is 1:2, or we could write that ratio as 1/2. My bobblehead is a 1:13 scale model, which means that the handsome little devil is 1/13th of my actual height.
If the actual Mini Me (32 inches tall) had a bobblehead made at the same scale, how tall would it be? Round to two decimal places again.
