Interpretation:

Where digestion occurs in the body and what kind of chemical reactions does it involve has to be given.

Concept Introduction:

The chemical reaction is examined a chemical change because enzymes in the stomach and intestines break down large macro molecule into simpler molecules.

Chemical reaction in digestion:

1. 1. The conversion of carbohydrates into such simple sugars as glucose
2. 2. Breaking down of protein into such amino acids which are the building blocks of proteins.
3. 3. The conversion of fats into fatty acids and glycerol.
