Question
Chapter 22, Problem 19RQ
Summary Introduction
To review:
The functions of the pseudostratified epithelium present in the respiratory mucosa.
Introduction:
The air passageway from the nostrils to the alveoli of the lungs contains different types of mucosal cells. The specific types of mucosal cells are found in a particular region and they are also designated with a specific function. Pseudostratified epithelium is found throughout the respiratory mucosa especially in the nasal cavity, larynx, trachea and bronchi.
