The propagation of plants in a tissue culture refers to an accumulation of techniques, which is used to grow or maintain tissues, plant cells, or organs under germ-free environments on a nutrient culture medium of the acknowledged composition. The procedure is broadly used to generate clones of a plant in an approach called micropropagation. The technique is widely used as it provides certain benefits over the conventional methods of propagation. The technique of plant tissue culture is widely used in forestry, plant sciences, and in horticulture.
