Genetic material represents the DNA and RNA. Deoxyribonucleic acid or DNA is the hereditary material. It is present in the eukaryotic cells enclosed in a nuclear membrane. A gene is a precise region of the DNA which regulates a specific trait. An allele is defined as one of the probable forms of a gene. Most of the genes have two alleles: a dominant and a recessive allele.
