Concept Introduction:
Purine and pyrimidine are the classes of bases such as purine contains adenine and guanine while pyrimidine contains cytosine and thymine and uracil.
DNA contains adenine, guanine, cytosine or thymine but except adenine all other bases contains carbonyl group on their ring.
RNA contains adenine, guanine, cytosine or uracil but except adenine all other bases such as guanine, cytosine or uracil contains carbonyl group on their ring.
