Introduction:

Lymphoid organs are the organs of the lymphatic system that are associated with the task of providing immunity to the body. There are two categories of the lymphoid organs, namely the primary lymphoid organs and the secondary lymphoid organs. Depending upon their role in the immune function, the lymphoid organs contain specific type(s) of lymphocytes.
