Arthropods include the segmented animals which have joint appendages. They have a hard outer covering called exoskeleton made up of chitin. It gives support to the body and provides protection. They have complex organ system. Arthropods undergo the process of molting by shedding the old exoskeleton which results in the growth of organism. Crustaceans, spiders, centipedes and millipedes are some examples of arthropods.
