Concept Introduction:
Animals are divided into several classes containing the least evolved sponges to the advance chordates. All the vertebrates including the mammals are organized into the class chordates. Insects are included under the class crustaceans of arthropods. Insects include the largest group of animals containing 926,400 different species. There are approximately 7.77 million species of animals on earth.
