The movement of substances between blood and interstitial fluid is known as capillary exchange.
Capillaries are classified as the smallest blood vessels in the body. They have role in conveying the blood between the venules and the arterioles. The blood capillaries are classified as the sinusoid, continuous, and fenestrated. The major function serves by the capillaries include exchange of material between the cells of the tissues and the blood that is travelling at a very low pressure.
