Reading of the galvanometer linked to the coil.

Answer to Problem 1OQ
Solution:
E. current spikes as the magnet enters the coil, then a current sparks in the opposite direction as the magnet exits the coil.
Explanation of Solution
when the bar magnet is inserted down into the coil of wire, magnetic flux linked with the changes, an induced EMF and hence the induced current is set up in it.
When the bar magnet is left in the coil for one minute, there will be no change in flux linked with the coil, so no induced current would be produced.
When the bar magnet come out of the coil again, magnetic flux linked with the coil changes, an induced EMF and hence, an induced current is set up in the coil in the opposite direction.
Conclusion: Whenever the magnetic flux linked with a closed-circuit change, an induced EMF and hence, an induced current is set up in it.

Rick grows up to be an Earth-bound robotics technician while Mick becomes an intergalactic astronaut. Mick leaves the Earth on his first space mission in the year 2200 and travels, according to his clock, for 10 years at a speed of 0.75c. Unfortunately, at this point in his journey, the structure of his ship undergoes mechanical breakdown and the ship explodes.
