Chapter 21, Problem 14UYK
Summary Introduction

Introduction: The nerves that are emerging directly from the brain in contrast to the spinal nerve are known as cranial nerves. There are 12 cranial nerves that are originated from the brainstem. The tenth cranial nerve that connects the brain to the body is the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve includes two groups of sensory nerve cell bodies that are responsible for the brainstem to connect with the body. The sensory nerve cell bodies enable the brain to observe and receive information from the body.
