Chapter 21, Problem 1.11CNI
Summary Introduction

Introduction: The nerves that are emerging directly from the brain in contrast to the spinal nerve are known as cranial nerves. There are 12 cranial nerves that are originated from the brainstem. However, the optic and the olfactory nerves arise from the cerebrum, the anterior part of the brain. The cranial nerves exhibit various crucial functions. For example, the vagus nerve is responsible for communicating motor as well as the sensory impulse to all the bodily parts.
