Lymph from lymphatic vessels is transported to lymphatic trunks present on both left and right regions of the body. Lymph is then finally drained into the right lymphatic duct and thoracic ducts before it is released into the blood. 2. Primary lymphatic structures: The primary lymphatic structures are responsible for the formation of lymphocytes and maturation of lymphocyte. It includes thymus and red bone marrow. Red bone marrow is found within the trabeculae of spongy bones formation of formed elements of blood (erythrocyte, leukocyte, and platelets). The thymus is formed of two lobes that are fused and surrounded by a tissue called capsule.
