Summary Introduction

To analyze:

The causes of diabetes insipidus, pituitary dwarfism, gigantism, acromegaly, Cushing Syndrome and Addison disease.

Introduction:

Diabetes insipidus is a disease in which the vasopressin hormone from the pituitary gland gets inhibited, releasing dilute urine causing thirst and dehydration.

Pituitary dwarfism is a condition where the child’s growth gets affected due to the deficiency of the growth hormone wherein the secretion from the pituitary gland is reduced.

Gigantism is a condition in which the growth hormone from the pituitary gland increases causing excessive or abnormal growth.

Acromegaly is also same as gigantism wherein there is imbalanced growth hormone production caused by the tumor of the pituitary gland.

Cushing Syndrome is a condition in which there is an overproduction of corticosteroid hormone from the adrenal cortex which results in obesity and high blood pressure.

Addison disease is caused by insufficient production of hormones, cortisol, and aldosterone, from the adrenal glands.
