Introduction:
The thymosin hormone secreted by the thymus gland is involved in fighting diseases by producing the T lymphocytes or T cells that protect the body from virus or infection. Melatonin, a hormone secreted by the pineal gland in the brain, helps to regulate other hormones. It helps to regulate the sleep pattern. Leptin made by adipose tissue helps to regulate the energy balance by preventing hunger. Prostaglandins are produced by various tissues when there is an injury or an illness. It has an important role in curing inflammation, forming blood clots, and inducing labor.
