To explain: The way in which mechanical isolation is different from gametic isolation.

Introduction: The reproductive isolation mechanism that prevents two different species from fertilization of their gametes is known as a prezygotic barrier to fertilization. The reproductive isolating mechanisms that prevent the flow of gene after the fertilization are known as post zygotic barriers. There are various means of obtaining reproductive isolation.
