FSH or follicle stimulating hormone is secreted from the anterior pituitary gland. It is a gonadotropin that is involved in the regulation of the development, growth, pubertal maturation as well as reproductive processes in the body. FSH works in association with the lutenizing hormone, which is also released from the anterior pituitary.
