To determine:
The missing vessel from the given sequence: tracing the circulation to and from the placenta, a drop of blood travels in the fetus from the left ventricle to the aorta, to a common iliac artery, to an internal iliac artery, to an umbilical artery, to capillaries in the placenta, to the ductus venosus, to a hepatic vein, to the inferior vena cava, to the right atrium, to the foramen ovale, to the left atrium, to the left ventricle.
Introduction:
Placenta is an organ that is present during fetus development in placental mammals. The placenta serves as a conducting unit between the fetus and the mother’s body for the transportation of blood, nutrients, and waste products to and from the fetus and the mother’s body. Umbilical cord is present between the developing embryo/fetus and the placenta.

- ✓ Details Draw a protein that is embedded in a membrane (a transmembrane protein), label the lipid bilayer and the protein. Identify the areas of the lipid bilayer that are hydrophobic and hydrophilic. Draw a membrane with two transporters: a proton pump transporter that uses ATP to generate a proton gradient, and a second transporter that moves glucose by secondary active transport (cartoon-like is ok). It will be important to show protons moving in the correct direction, and that the transporter that is powered by secondary active transport is logically related to the proton pump.arrow_forwarddrawing chemical structure of ATP. please draw in and label whats asked.
