Introduction:
Social media in business communication is a powerful tool for group collaborations as well as effective communication. It helps the employees in a business to interact disregarding geographical factors and organizational hierarchy for easy communication with the customers, and for the companies to be available as a profile on the internet which helps the public to interact directly with the company itself. Benefits of social media in business is observed when supporting customers, integrating new customers, overcoming communication barriers, global assembling of the teams, preparing for major events, etc. However, social media also has its disadvantages such as reducing the privacy of the data being shared since the higher level employers has the ability to screen what is communicated, reducing interpersonal communication, increasing the chance for unethical behavior, etc.
