The conditions on Earth if ice would have been denser than water.
Introduction:
The hydrogen bonds in water molecules result in the formation of water lattice. These lattices are more prominent in solid crystalline form of ice. The overall mass per unit volume is less than that in liquid water because of the empty spaces between the lattices in ice. The density of ice is less than that of water.
