Introduction:

The population is stable in a constant environment by natural selection. The advantageous variation in a population leads species to evolve well. Natural selection also provides the ability to survive in an unfavorable environment called adaptation. The stabilizing, disruptive and directional are the three kinds of natural selection. In directional selection, the selection of extreme phenotypes occurswhich leads to a shift in allele frequency with time. In disruptive selection, intermediate traits are selected against and extreme traits are favored.
