The cause of muscular dystrophy in relation to the loss of function of protein causing weakness in the muscle tissue and discuss the following:

a. A loss of dystrophin protein causes weakness and a loss of coordination

b. A defect in dystrophin contribute to wasting of muscle tissue

Introduction:

Muscular dystrophy is caused by genetic mutations that interfere with the production of muscle proteins that are needed to build and maintain healthy muscles. It is characterized by progressive muscle weakness and wasting.
