The chlorophyll is a hydrophobic molecule which is crucial for the functioning of chlorophyll.
Concept introduction:
The light energy from the sun is trapped by the chlorophyll which is used to produce sugars with the help of water and carbon dioxide via the photosynthesis process. The chlorophyll molecules are arranged in and around the photosystems, which are pigment protein complexes. The photosystems are embedded in thylakoid membranes of the chloroplast.
