The Fc region of IgE binds to the receptors of mast cells or basophils and causes degranulation.
Introduction:
Type 1 hypersensitivity can cause the immune response to the exposure of antigen. When IgE antibodies bind to the receptors of mast cells, then they bind to the antigen. It causes degranulation of mast cells and releases granules like histamine and leukotrienes. It leads to the inflammation and breathing difficulties.
