Chapter 18.3, Problem 18.3.1CP
Program Plan Intro
Recursive method:
A method which is called again and again by itself is called as recursive method. With the help of recursive method, it is possible to solve certain problems more quickly and easily.
Base case: The recursion method contains a base case which is used to halt the recursion.
Recursive call: When the function itself calls the same function is called as recursive call.

Rolling a single six-sided die produces a random number between 1 and 6 with a uniform distribution. Rolling two dice produces a number between 2 and 12 with a binomial distribution. In this lab you will simulate a number of dice rolls and graph the number of occurrences of each value.
1) Create a function called rollDie() that takes no parameters, and returns a random value between 1 and 6. Do not seed the random number generator in this function.
int rollDie()
2) Create a function called initArray() that takes a data array and the size of the array as parameters and fills each element with the summed results of rolling two dice. Do not assume that the data array has been initialized.
void initArray(int data[], int size)
3) Create a function called sortArray() that takes an array and the size of the array as parameters, and sorts the array using the sediment sort.
void sortArray(int data[], int size)
The sediment sort works…

- Using functions, write a program that will solve the problem: Create a program that will display the nth numbers in the Fibonacci series. The length of the series depends on the user's input. Use user-defined function and appropriate conditional and looping statements to solve the given problem.arrow_forward▼ Part A - The effect of an arithmetic shift on signed numbers Let's look at see what happens to signed numbers during a shift operation. As with most problems with number representations, errors can be intermittent. Sometimes the code will work as expected, and other times it will behave in a manner that seems to be totally arbitrary. Consider the following code fragment that makes use of the fact that shifting a value left by one place multiplies the number by 2. By passing in the number to be multiplied and the power of 2 to multiply it by (for example 4 = 22) the correct answer should be passed back from the function after the results are printed for the user to examine. signed int mult_2_to_n (signed int num, int n) { signed int result; result = num << n; printf("%d multiplied by 2^%d %d\n", num, n, result); return result; } Using a signed number as the manipulated integer may cause an error in some cases. Several approaches may be used to fix the problem. Which solutions below…arrow_forward8. The function, round(9/4) is equal to 2.25 3 1arrow_forward
