Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Each antibody has a sequence known as paratope, which recognizes a particular sequence on antigen known as the epitope. The antibodies are antigen-specific, which means that paratope of a particular antibody is specific for a particular epitope and will recognize only that epitope. This specificity is taken advantage of in immunological tests. ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is an immunological technique used to detect any unwanted proteins such as antigens.
