The human body consists of glands present in different organs, which play a vital role. Based on where secretions are released, glands are classified as Endocrine and Exocrine. Endocrine glands release secretions (hormones) directly in the bloodstream and have no duct associated. Exocrine glands release secretions (enzymes, mucous) in the organs or outer surface of the body through a duct.
