Chapter 18, Problem 6RQ
Summary Introduction

To summarize: The similarities and differences between mitosis and meiosis in a paragraph.

Introduction: Cell division is a process in which a cell splits into daughter cells. In the process of cell division, the chromatin present in the nucleus shrinks and forms a thread-like structure called the chromosomes. There are mainly two types of cell division, namely mitosis and meiosis. Mitosis takes place in a somatic cell and meiosis takes place in reproductive cells. Meiosis I and meiosis II are the two separate sequential events in the meiosis process.
