The quadratic equation is 45x2+57x+1=5 .
Concept used:
Any quadratic equation of the form ax2+bx+c=0 where a≠0 has the roots x=−b±√b2−4ac2a......(1)
Calculation:
The quadratic equation 45x2+57x+1=5 is re-written as:
45x2+57x+1=5......(Given)45x2+57x−4=0......(2)
The solution for the quadratic equation (2) can be evaluated with the help of formula (1) . Therefore,
x=−b±√b2−4ac2a......(From (1))=−(57)±√(57)2−4(45)(−4)2(45)......(∵45x2+57x−4=0)=−57±6390=−57+6390,−57−6390={115,−43}
Hence the solution for the quadratic equation is x={115,−43} .
Now, factoring the equation (2) gives,
45x2+57x−4=0......(From (2))45x2+60x−3x−4=015x(3x+4)−1(3x+4)=0(3x+4)(15x−1)=03x+4=0 or 15x−1=0x=−43 or x=115x={−43,115}
From both the techniques the solutions are same for of the quadratic equation. Hence the required solution is x={−43,115} of quadratic equation.
