Summary Introduction
Introduction:
The peptide hormones that consist of three or more amino acid residues are lipophobic as they have water-loving tendencies and are water-soluble. They have shorter half-life with a large number of hormones belonging to this class and travel to distant target cells. The steroid hormones are lipophilic and have longer half-life. They take time to exhibit effects and are formed from cholesterol.
