The chiral carbon has to be explained.
Concept Introduction:
The chiral center is that atom that is linked to four different groups. The presence of the chiral center leads to the formation of non-superimposable mirror images. To identify whether a given center is chiral or not one has to check for the presence of four different substituents.
If any of the two substituents happen to be similar, then that center is known as achiral.
