Introduction:
Hypothalamus is a flattened funnel-like structure that forms the walls and floor of the brain's third ventricle. It is linked to the pituitary for its functional roles. A small stalk attaches the pituitary to the hypothalamus. The anterior pituitary is known as adenohypophysis, and the posterior pituitary is known as neurohypophysis.
