Chapter 17.3, Problem 1BC
Summary Introduction
To determine:
The phenomenon of transformation that allowed researchers to demonstrate that DNA is the genetic material.
Introduction
The transfer of genetic material from the donor to recipient through a medium is called transformation. The naked DNA migrates across the wall and membrane of the recipient without the aid of a virus. Extracellular DNA fragments are acquired through the transformation by the recipient.
