Question
Chapter 17, Problem 8SQ
Summary Introduction
Introduction: By the eighth day of fertilization, the cells of embryoblast begin to differentiate into two layers called hypoblast and epiblast. Hypoblast layer is a layer of small cuboidal cells formed adjacent to the blastocyst cavity. Epiblast layer is a layer of columnar cells formed near the amniotic cavity. Both hypoblast and epiblast layers together form a flat disc like structure that is termed as bilaminar germinal disc.
