Introduction:

The steroid hormones are slower than the peptide hormones because the steroid hormones enter inside the cell and regulate the gene activity thereby synthesizing new protein molecules, whereas,the peptide hormones modify the existing peptides. Therefore, their action is faster than the steroid hormones.
