Summary Introduction
Introduction:
Glucagon is secreted when the level of glucose is high in the blood. It lowers the blood glucose level from the cells of liver, muscles, and adipose. Glucagon is stored in the organs of the body. Glucagon is also a peptide hormone and is produced by alpha cells of the pancreas. It prevents the blood glucose level from dropping.
